Expressieve elegantie is de handtekening van het huis, en die ontbreekt niet in deze sublieme pinot noir die de naam 1203 meekreeg. Dat getal verwijst naar Mount Stokes, het hoogste punt in de Marlborough Sounds. Symbolisch, want in deze reeks mikt Misty Cove op de absolute top. Een breed bouquet zorgt voor een &#8216;adembenemende&#8217; aftrap. Veel kers en zwarte bessen, maar ook vanille, wat zoethout, amandel en zelfs wat tijm. Rijk en rond, maar tegelijk verfrissend en verleidelijk. Bij het proeven mondvullende magie in een satijnen smaaksensatie, waarin rijp rood fruit de eerste viool speelt. Over viool gesproken: ook florale finesse is op het appel. De lange houtopvoeding zorgt voor een mooie romigheid, waarin chocolade en geroosterde noot en brood hun opwachting maken. Een fantastische fluwelen finale zorgt voor de kers op deze exclusieve taart.
